What gets you moving?

Do you ever have one of those days were your bed is a cloud and your body is made of lead? Where you take 25 minutes to get dressed and cannot for the life of you find the motivation to get up and moving? SAME.

What do you do about it? How do you pep talk yourself into action?

I have the added bonus of cats. If you are not a cat person, you might not be familiar with how they are the world’s best/worst alarm clocks. If I do not get up and feed them exactly when they want, they will announce for the entire neighbourhood how empty their bowl is and how unloved and neglected they are.

Once I get up to attend to the pets, my limbs are a little less heavy, but I still just want to go back to bed. It’s rainy and gloomy outside and the stuff I have to do can be done later, right?

The procrastination battle is real. It’s also a trap!

Two days ago I started using Energize 30 minutes before my morning workouts.

As an anxiety sufferer, I was worried that it would cause more problems than it was fixing, but I can honestly say that the boost was subtle and very real. I was able to get set for my morning 25 minute workout and ace it. An added bonus, I still had energy after to write this post and do the dishes!

Things to know, I have a large (maybe 20 ounce?) mug of stove percolated coffee every morning and a balanced protein rich breakfast. Click here to find out more about the program I use for that. I get up between 6 & 7 am and then workout when my partner leaves for work around 8 am. So, I’m giving myself time to wake up, get my blood sugar sorted out, and psych myself up for action. Even with all those good choices, I was still finding it hard once I hit week two of #muscleburnsfat (MBF) to get motivated.
